ISO 45001:2027 – What’s Changing and How to Prepare

The ISO 45001 revision is now approved and is progressing into the planning phase. It will be the first formal review since the standard was published in 2018. In practical terms, it is expected that the reviewed version of the standard won’t be published till 2027.

ISO 45001 revision

ISO 45001 is expected to be the last of the three standards to undergo revision. The next committee meeting is planned for May 2025, but a publication date has not yet been confirmed, though it’s likely to land sometime in 2027. While this revision is at an earlier stage, certified organisations should still stay alert. Early awareness gives you the edge when it comes to planning ahead for future updates.
