LRQA wins this year’s SOFHT Best Company award recognising our contribution to the food industry.

LRQA has won the Best Company category at this year’s Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT) Awards.

The SOFHT Awards celebrate excellence in the food industry and associated industries and are judged by a panel of experienced professionals from the Society’s membership.

LRQA CEO, Ian Spaulding, said:

LRQA’s award entry highlighted:

  • Year-on-year growth in GFSI-recognised food safety services.
  • New product launches including the Better Chicken Audit Module for enhanced animal welfare in the UK and awarding the world’s first MSC and ASC Ecolabel certificate for Seaweed, ensuring the product is safe and sustainably produced.
  • Building industry understanding of best practice through campaigns to support transition to revised standards and our podcast series on food safety and responsible sourcing.

The 44th Annual SOFHT Lecture and Awards Lunch took place in London on Thursday 16 November 2023.
