LRQA is proud to celebrate the success of seafood auditor Bronek Wronski, who has been named Unsung Hero at the Aquaculture UK Awards, recognising his outstanding contribution to the aquaculture sector and the lasting impact he continues to make across the industry.
The Unsung Hero award celebrates individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes, demonstrating unwavering commitment, dedication and professionalism while helping others succeed. For those who know Bronek, the recognition comes as no surprise.
With more than two decades of experience in aquaculture, Bronek has built a reputation as one of the sector's most trusted and respected professionals. Beginning his career in frontline farming roles, he developed extensive expertise in fish welfare, husbandry and operational management before moving into auditing, where he has become known for his technical excellence, fairness and deep industry knowledge.

As an LRQA Seafood Auditor, Bronek has played a pivotal role in supporting aquaculture businesses to strengthen standards, improve welfare outcomes and drive continuous improvement. His influence extends far beyond the audits he conducts. Through mentoring colleagues, sharing expertise and supporting businesses through industry developments, he has helped raise capability and confidence across the sector.
Most recently, Bronek has been instrumental in supporting the rollout of GlobalG.A.P. Version 6, dedicating significant time to training and guiding businesses across the aquaculture community through the new requirements.
Sam Dignan, Technical Head of Seafood at LRQA, said:
"Bronek is one of the most quietly influential people in our sector – reliable, steady and consistently focused on doing what's right. He never looks for recognition, yet so much of what goes well on site has his fingerprints on it. His support has lifted colleagues, strengthened operations and set a standard of professionalism that others naturally follow."
Kay Buist, Accreditation Manager at LRQA, added:
"Bronek is one of those rare people whose impact is felt everywhere, even when his work happens quietly in the background. He consistently steps in before anyone has to ask, solves problems others haven't even spotted yet, and does it all with a calm, thoughtful presence that lifts the people around him. He embodies exactly what this award is meant to celebrate."
One industry endorsement highlighted Bronek's extensive expertise, noting that "his knowledge is vast, rivalled only by his desire to share it with others to drive improvement." Another recognised his significant contribution to strengthening standards, capability and collaboration across the aquaculture sector.
Congratulations to Bronek for this well-deserved recognition.
