Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) has become the first council in the UK with an in-house recycling and waste collection service to achieve accredited Competence Management System (CMS) certification from LRQA, the only certification body able to make this award. This a significant achievement for the waste transfer station at Pembroke Road, Aylesbury and recognises the professional competence of both key staff and the systems in place for the safe management of waste.
Amy Bridgford, AVDC’s Operations Manager, said: “Myself and the wider team are incredibly proud of our certification, our site and our operation. Our accredited CMS certification has provided ultimate business continuity and allowed us to develop and expand on our technical competence knowledge.”
