Save lives with the road traffic safety standard.
With road use rapidly evolving due to emerging technologies and increasingly sophisticated vehicles, a systematic approach to road traffic safety is paramount. Help create safer roads by gaining ISO 39001 certification.
Overview
The ISO 39001 road traffic safety (RTS) standard, published in 2012, details the minimum requirements for an RTS management system suitable for governments, vehicle fleet operators, or any public or private organisation interacting with the road traffic system.
ISO 39001 requirements help reduce deaths and serious injuries resulting from road traffic accidents through three core routes:
- the development and implementation of an appropriate RTS policy;
- the development of RTS objectives and action plans incorporating legal and organisation-specific requirements;
- and additional detail provided on criteria relating to RTS that an organisation deems within its sphere of influence or control.
Benefits of ISO 39001
Demonstrate commitment
ISO 39001 certification shows stakeholders you appreciate the importance of road traffic safety.
Meet targets
Meet safety and social responsibility targets through increased awareness of legal and best practice issues relating to RTS.
Improve efficiencies
ISO 39001 can help organisations audit and optimise resource allocation through better management.
Competitive advantage
Gain a competitive edge by being amongst the select organisations to implement ISO 39001.
ISO 39001 Certification
Work with LRQA to achieve ISO 39001 certification and ensure responsible operations, prioritising employee safety while further improving road safety and setting a positive example for others.
Certification is a two-stage process that ensures you have a management system that meets the ISO 39001 requirements. Once you pass the formal assessment, you receive an ISO 39001 certificate which remains valid for three years subject to annual surveillance.
