With the winner selected by a panel of experienced food industry professionals, the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology’s (SOFHT) Best Auditor category recognises continued excellence in terms of knowledge, objectivity, and pragmatism in their audit skills, whilst ensuring conformance with recognised standards.

Ken started his 40+ year career as an Environmental Health Officer before moving into a variety of compliance and technical roles with food manufacturers and retailers including Safeway and Morrisons, The Cooperative Group and Tesco, where he provided advice and support to colleagues at all levels of the business on health, safety and environment, food safety, hygiene and trading standards matters.
Bringing this wealth of knowledge and practical experience into the assurance sector in 2012, Ken has built a reputation for consistency and has achieved some of the best results for client satisfaction in the team since joining LRQA in 2017.
Commenting on his win, Ken added,“I was delighted to be nominated by clients and colleagues for this award and I’m proud that my contribution to environmental health and food safety has been recognised by SOFHT.”
