Tokyo, 05 - 08 March #GFSI2018
On 5 March 2018, the Global Food Safety Initiative’s (GFSI) Global Food Safety Conference (GFSC) starts in Tokyo, Japan. The GFSC is a unique annual event bringing together over 1,000 leading food safety specialists from more than 50 countries to advance food safety globally.
Organised by the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) - of which LRQA is a member - the GFSC is taking place at the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba and runs until Thursday 8 March.
This year's conference theme is 'Safe Food for Consumers Everywhere', a topic which will resonate strongly with the many thousands of clients we serve in the food sector. LRQA will once again be exhibiting - come and meet the team at stand 105-106.
Vincent is Vice President for Food, Beverage & Sustainability at LRQA. With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, Vincent is a food Ambassador for the LRQA Foundation – the charity which owns and is funded by LRQA. He works within the sector to identify potential business partners for the Foundation to work collaboratively with on visionary projects which seek to mitigate food insecurity. He is a regular speaker about the future of the food industry at international sustainability and food events and is a member of Advisory Boards in various food universities research projects across Europe.

Based in the USA, Tim is responsible for the development and implementation of food safety assessment schemes, in addition to performing FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, and 2nd party assessments. Prior to joining LRQA, Tim worked for Mars, Incorporated for over 25 years, where he was the Director of Quality and Food Safety for the Mars Global Chocolate Business. Tim has a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and is an IRCA certified Food Safety Management System auditor.
