SQF Edition 10 pre-audit readiness guide
Safe Quality Food (SQF) Food Safety Code
This guide is designed to support SQF-certified organisations and their teams in preparing for an audit to Edition 10.
It is structured around the areas of greatest change and scoring significance, with self-assessment questions to help you identify gaps, build evidence and approach your audit with confidence.
How to use this guide
Work through each section with your SQF Practitioner and relevant site leadership. For each question, consider whether you have documented evidence, whether that evidence reflects current practice on the floor, and whether it would hold up under auditor scrutiny. Where gaps exist, record your actions and assign clear ownership.
Pay particular attention to sections marked as core clauses. Non-conformances against core clauses carry greater scoring weight under Edition 10, meaning a major finding in these areas has a proportionately larger impact on your overall audit score and certification status.
