Biography
Forbes has worked in the agriculture supply chain for the last thirty years, in roles including sourcing, product development, manufacturing and technical compliance, gained with organisations that reach across the sector. He has an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical compliance challenges faced by both primary producers and processors.
Most recently Forbes has been developing the use of statistical analysis and reporting to help deliver improved feed and food safety outcomes. As the supply chain develops and diversifies, using data to identify patterns and trends will become increasingly key in identifying risk areas and implementing control mechanisms to manage them effectively.
Conversations are well underway about how farming can be more sustainable, with a focus on the carbon footprint of supply sitting at the top of the list.
