Introduction
VDA 6.3 is widely used in the automotive supply chain as a process audit approach. This foundation-level course introduces the VDA 6.3:2023 audit structure and explains how it can be applied as a practical framework for internal audits. Delivered in-company by virtual instructor-led training or face-to-face, the course combines an introduction to internal auditing with practical guidance on the VDA 6.3 audit approach, checklist structure, scoring method and audit outcomes.
It is suitable for organisations that supply, or plan to supply, automotive customers and want to strengthen internal audit capability in line with customer expectations.
Who Should Attend?
You should attend this VDA 6.3 internal auditor training course if one or more of your customers has asked you to apply the VDA 6.3 audit approach and you want to understand what it involves.
- It is also ideal if your organisation wants to train a group of staff as internal auditors and sees the VDA 6.3 approach as a useful framework for its audits, for example because you supply the automotive sector.
- This course is designed for in-company (closed) delivery only.
- Required prior knowledge: experience of working in the automotive supply chain.
- Preferred prior knowledge: familiarity with the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Please note that this course does not provide accredited VDA 6.3 auditor status. Delegates who successfully complete the course will not become accredited VDA 6.3 auditors.
