When LRQA commissioned a survey of 100 senior executives across the beverage industry earlier this year, the results were as unexpected as they were concerning. Food fraud was found to be an almost universal issue – 97% of respondents had been affected in the past year and only 22% of manufacturers were ‘very confident’ that suppliers met food safety standards.
