Overview

The challenge of globalisation, changing customer requirements, legislation and technology means that worldwide, organisations are increasingly turning to business improvement services, underpinned with client specific criteria, to help them meet their organisational goals.

At LRQA, we know that your organisation is unique. Its needs, goals and objectives are different than any other organisation. This differentiates you and gives you competitive advantage, but may also require a customised approach to the way your business processes and programmes are identified, managed, measured and improved upon.

What are business improvement services?

Our range of business improvement services relate to the provision of bespoke or customised variants of training, certification, audit and verification services against organisational private requirements, industry or sector standards. LRQA's business improvement capabilities are wide; ranging from corporate and sector assurance, supply chain assurance, customised training and assurance as well as risk management.

Can I have customised training to support my organisation?

Yes, our range of customised assurance services includes the provision of associated bespoke or customised in-house training.

Can I have customised training delivered to my organisation remotely?

Many of our training solutions can be delivered remotely, or through other technology-enabled methods of delivery, thereby ensuring that not only do you have the right customised training solution to meet your needs, but often, you can undertake the training at a time that is right for you.

I need trend analysis and therefore better insights based on assessment, audit or supply chain performance data; can your business improvement capability deliver this?

Yes; through the use of supply chain data and customised audit solutions, LRQA can deliver in-depth analysis and insight, moving from a retrospective focus to predictive insight, from what went wrong to what may go wrong. Customised assurance can augment current auditing and processes to improve supply chain confidence, with wider and deeper system and data coverage, more effective targeting of existing and potential risks and better application of analysis, insight and advice.

As an independent provider of professional assurance services, does LRQA's range of capabilities within the business improvement arena present you with a conflict of interest as you are assuring what you already assure?

With no shareholders of our own, clients benefit from independent and impartial assurance from LRQA that delivers results you can trust to drive transparency and your brand reputation.

Mindful of our accreditation to ISO 17021 - which contains principles and requirements for the competence, consistency and impartiality of bodies providing audit and certification of all types of management systems - each individual service request is reviewed to ensure that no conflict of interest exists.

This ensures not only that our accreditation status is maintained but most importantly your existing Third Party approvals are not put at risk. For this reason there may some circumstances where we are unable to provide specific business improvement services.

I want visibility of what is happening in my supply chain in terms of quality, environmental and health & safety risks that are not explicitly reported upon during traditional certification assessments against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Can LRQA create a bespoke 2nd party supply chain assurance scheme with both on site and remote delivery capabilities?

Worldwide, organisations are increasingly turning to bespoke solutions to further enhance the level of assurance of their global operations, known as second party supply chain solutions.

The challenge of globalisation coupled with a dependency on supply chains which can often span multiple countries and continents presents a significant element of risk to any organisation.

LRQA provides second-party supply chain services to any organisation – irrespective of their size, sector or geographical location. Our tailored client-specific assessment solutions give you an additional level of assurance over and above that required by international management system standards.

This approach provides you with the confidence that organisations serving your supply chain are consistently operating to your own high specifications and can include multiple aspects of risk management aimed at protecting not only the quality of goods and services being supplied but also the continuity of supply and your brand.

Feedback systems can be built into each customised assurance service we provide to allow the review of the programme and an opportunity to improve the criteria.

In parallel, our focus on key account management means that we create strong relationships with our clients, underpinned with our commitment to effective project management and service delivery

The ISO 9001:2015 workshops were extremely useful for aligning and on-boarding the senior management team to provisions for compliance.
