Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA)

Pressure equipment inspection for Ontario.

What is it?

If you're making pressure equipment for use in Ontario, Canada, you'll have to meet the standards of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). 

The TSSA's Boilers and Pressure Vessels (BPV) Safety Program details the regulations for all pressure-retaining components manufactured or used in Ontario. 

What we do.

LRQA has been approved by the TSSA in Ontario as an Accredited Inspection Agency, based on the ASME accreditation of LRQA Verification Limited, for third-party inspection of:

  • Nuclear and non-nuclear pressure equipment.
  • Quality system audits of manufacturers of non-nuclear fittings
