Biography
Matt is a Senior Geologist with 10 years industry experience, the last 7 of them with LRQA. His experience is predominantly in wide-ranging exploration studies, including regional play fairway analysis, prospect evaluation and licence round applications, and he has also worked on producing asset evaluations and operations projects. His background in consultancies has provided him the opportunity to work on global studies, including the UKCS, Norway, Offshore/Onshore Indonesia and Iraq, whilst spending time in operator environments has provided him a rounded view of different working practices and methodologies across the subsurface sector of the petroleum industry.
In recent years Matt has contributed to LRQA's regional studies supporting the Oil and Gas Authority in the UK, and in 2018-2019 he project managed a large study to generate a geochemical & geological database for the entire UKCS to support ongoing exploration and production efforts across the UKCS.
Qualifications
MSc in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience (University of Aberdeen).
