Welding Qualification & Certification Requirements

Introduction

Develop an understanding of welding variables, the purpose of welding standards, the qualification process, the applicable variables to be considered for procedure and personnel qualifications, and the associated ranges of approval.

This course will help you to understand the variables to be considered for procedure qualifications, including supplementary essential variables where impact or toughness requirements apply, and non-essential variables that do not require requalification. It will also provide a basic understanding of the ranges of approval based on the qualified parameters for welding procedure and welders and welding operator performance.

Field inspectors and surveyors who attend fabrication-related inspection or surveys, carry out shop assessment and undertake technical reviews of welding documentation.
