ISO 26000:2010 – Social Responsibility Internal Auditor

Introduction

This ISO 26000:2010 Internal Auditor course develops the knowledge and practical skills needed to audit how an organisation applies social responsibility principles and guidance. You will learn how to prepare for and conduct an internal audit, gather and evaluate objective evidence, assess audit findings and report outcomes effectively. • Describe the principles, practices, core subjects and issues covered by ISO 26000:2010.
• Understanding how socially responsible behaviour can be integrated, implemented, and promoted throughout an organisation and within its sphere of influence.
• Identify and engage relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate CSR commitments and report on the organisational CSR performance.
• Use appropriate tools to review an organisation's social responsibility progress and performance.
• Prepare and plan internal audits using defined audit criteria based on ISO 26000 guidance.
• Correlate audit findings across different processes and draw objective conclusions about performance and effectiveness.
• Gather objective evidence effectively through interviews and being audited and reviewing sample documents and records
• Develop audit checklists as part of the audit preparation process.
• Evaluate whether objective evidence is sufficient to support audit findings and conclusions.
• Write clear audit findings and, where applicable, non-conformity reports against the organisation’s defined audit criteria to support corrective and improvement actions.
