Introduction

This course is designed for individuals involved in maintaining environmental management systems through internal auditing. It also provides practical insight into the business benefit of implementing an EMS.

Delivered by tutors who are experts in management systems auditing and experienced in training, the course helps delegates interpret ISO 14001:2026 in the context of internal auditing and support continual improvement.

  • How to gather objective evidence through observation, interviewing and sampling of documentation
  • How to report the findings accurately • What corrective action is and who takes responsibility
  • How to follow up and verify the effectiveness of corrective action taken.

 

What you need to prepare

Before attending this course, you need:

  • A basic understanding of environmental issues before attending this course would be advantageous, but not essential
  • To have conducted internal audits in any of the following disciplines: quality management, health and safety and/or environment would equally be advantageous, but not essential
  • Ideally you will have attended our Introduction to ISO 14001 training.

Course Duration

Classroom/VILT: 2 days.

Bended: 8 hours of online learning, divided into 10 eLearning modules that can be completed over a period of up to ten days, followed by 1 full day of in-person classroom training or virtual instructor-led training (VILT).
