Following on from the recent BRCGS announcement, the FSSC Foundation has confirmed that full remote audits are now an accepted audit delivery method for FSSC 22000 v5 certification when sites cannot be accessed as a result of a serious event.
Fully remote audits (non GFSI recognised) are now possible for existing FSSC 22000 certification holders at sites due renewal audits, regular surveillance audits, transition audits and follow up activity for non-conformities, excluding critical non-conformities.

Providing the same results and value for money as on-site assessments, remote audits offer a range of additional benefits, including reduced travel requirements and increased stakeholder participation.
Remote audits can be delivered following a risk assessment and agreement between the certification body and company being audited. All audits will be delivered in line with FSSC Scheme Full Remote Audit Addendum as per the FSSC Foundation requirements.
