FSSC 22000 version 4.1 builds on industry developments and feedback.

FSSC 22000 releases v. 4.1 of the international food safety scheme to reflect market developments that emerged following the launch of the previous version in Dec 2016.

FSSC 22000 has released version 4.1 of the international food safety management system certification scheme, which reflects several developments in the market that have emerged since version 4 launched in December 2016.

As well as incorporating clarifications and corrections following industry feedback, the changes align FSSC 22000 with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Benchmarking Requirements version 7.1, which were published in May 2017. RvA, the Dutch Accreditation Council, have also evaluated FSSC 22000 version 4.1 against the European Accreditation (EA) procedure and criteria for the evaluation of conformity assessment schemes.

FSSC 22000 has developed an overview of the changes, which can be found here.

2017 will be a transition year and from 1 January 2018, all certified sites will be audited against the requirements in version 4.1.
