LTA has been awarded the BIM Certification according to ISO 19650 Part 1, 2, 3 and 5 by LRQA Singapore. Other than RTA Dubai, LTA is the only other government agency / regulator in the world which has achieved ISO 19650 certification. The certificate has been handed over to LTA, celebrating the excellent achievement of the involved teams.
BIM has been an important aspect in the building and infrastructure sector and is identified as an enabler that will revolutionise how asset information can be managed from the conceptual stage, design & build, operational and decommissioning.

BIM is a process for creating and managing design and engineering information for building and infrastructure projects across the project lifecycle. The key digital deliverables are the information rich BIM models capturing essential asset information, sheet(drawings), spatial data etc. that are produced collaboratively and updated regularly throughout the entire life cycle of the project. A digital BIM model will enable delivery teams to be more productive and create greater value to the projects throughout the entire life-cycle from design, build and operations and maintenance.
The certification, based on the International Standards Organisation (ISO) standard and soon to be accredited by UKAS, demonstrates LTA’s compliance with the highest BIM standards in projects.
