An Ounce of Prevention Is Worth A Pound of Cure: Front-End Legal Strategy and Risk Mitigation

Date: Thursday, 26 August
Time: 3:30 – 4:30 pm EST
Location: E10B

Why Front-end legal strategy and risk mitigation are essential to successful project execution in the US OSW Industry.

Often ignored until after a major problem arises, risk analysis and mitigation strategies are an essential element for the delivery of a successful project in the US offshore wind industry. From project design through operation and decommissioning, analyzing and proactively addressing the potential risks and challenges attendant to execution at every stage of the project results in cost savings, maximizes efficiency, ensures compliance with applicable laws, and ultimately delivers a successful endeavor.

During this workshop, it will explore strategies that have been successfully employed to analyze and de-risk project execution from the outset - including a discussion of significant legal, operational, and insurance considerations for US market participants – laying the foundation for a seamless, multi-faceted action plan that can be implemented at every phase of wind farm project development, and ultimately save significant sums in retrospective remedial costs.
