ISO 26000 Verification

ISO 26000 offers comprehensive guidance on corporate social responsibility. It provides an organisation with an outline of the principles and core subjects that you should manage to ensure you identify and mitigate social risks and impacts.

ISO 26000 offers guidance; it is not currently a certifiable standard. However, an organisation can have a gap analysis against the guidance.

LRQA offers an ISO 26000 gap analysis against the guidance to identify your organisational strengths and weaknesses with respect to social responsibility. The gap analysis can confirm areas your organisation already addresses through existing certification as well as those items requiring a more systematic approach.

Although ISO 26000 certification is not available, any organisation can have its activities verified against the guidance, including the verification of relevant data and information related to social responsibility; for example, sustainability reports produced with stakeholder confidence in mind.
