ISO 26000:2010 Implementation & Internal Auditing

Overview

This course is designed to help you develop the key knowledge and skills required for the implementation and internal auditing of a corporate social responsibility system based on the ISO 26000:2010 guidelines.

  • Publishing commitments related to corporate social responsibility and reporting on the organisation's performance in this field.
  • Reviewing tools that assess the organisation's progress and performance in the field of social responsibility.
  • Preparation and planning for audit operations to evaluate compliance with the guideline's requirements.
  • Building the capacity to link audit results across different processes in order to draw objective conclusions about compliance levels, effectiveness, and overall audit outcomes.
  • How to build checklists as part of the preparation process for auditing.
  • How to effectively search for and obtain objective evidence by conducting interviews with audited parties and reviewing samples of documents and records.
  • How to assess objective evidence and determine its adequacy in achieving the required levels of compliance and effectiveness.
  • How to write non-conformity case reports and ensure clarity in their key elements, enabling corrective actions to be taken.

 

Course preparation

  • Read the pre-course pack.
  • Be familiar with internal auditing skills and techniques.
  • Familiarise yourself with international human rights and labour rights laws, as well as ISO 26000.
  • A working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001, ISO 14064, and governance management system standards will be beneficial.
