Consolidating its leadership in information management for BIM projects EURIA obtains the LRQA ISO 19650 certification.
EURIA, a Mexican project management firm for the design and construction phase based in Guadalajara, has been recognized as the first organization in the Americas to obtain ISO 19650 certification, awarded by LRQA. This achievement underscores EURIA's firm commitment to the professionalization of the construction industry through rigorous technical management, traceability and operational excellence.
ISO 19650 is the international standard that regulates the management of information in the life cycle of built assets using BIM (Building Information Modeling). This certification not only validates the use of tools, but also the way in which information is structured, managed and delivered to ensure more predictable, efficient and improvisation-free projects.
The certification granted by LRQA was the result of an exhaustive gap analysis and audit process that lasted more than a year. EURIA achieved a double certification under the roles of Appointing Party and Lead Appointed Party, positioning itself as a firm capable of both representing the client's interests and executing projects under the highest standards of information management.
“Obtaining ISO 19650 certification was not a goal, it was a strategic decision,” commented José María Olmedo Martín, CEO of EURIA. "It reinforces our promise to transform construction with control, certainty and efficiency. Now we don't just claim to use BIM: we demonstrate that we manage it with international standards."
This milestone has had a tangible impact on EURIA projects. In recent works, real cost savings of 10% were achieved compared to similar projects without this structure, thanks to better informed decisions, defined responsibilities and more effective collaboration.
“The ISO 19650 certification was a validation of our team's technical discipline,” added Belem Duarte Bouchez, EURIA's BIM Director. "Today, every decision within our projects is traceable, auditable and executed based on solid data. We don't improvise. We lead."
For their part, Ramón Contreras and Edwin de la Cruz, LRQA representatives in the Americas region, played a crucial role in accompanying EURIA during the certification process, providing technical clarity and direction at key moments.
The ISO 19650 certification has allowed EURIA not only to systematize its digital information management and increase the traceability and confidence of clients and investors, but also to clearly differentiate itself in bidding processes and strengthen its position as a leader in BIM management.
With only 10 employees, EURIA proves that size does not limit excellence. This certification represents a milestone in its history and, at the same time, a clear signal to the entire industry that professionalization is no longer optional, but inevitable.
