Introduction
Catherine is a Senior Consultant in LRQA’s Advisory team, specialising in human and labour rights in agricultural supply chains. Catherine delivers projects for multinational companies and international organisations, helping clients strengthen responsible sourcing practices and embed human rights into business operations. Her work combines strategic advisory, risk assessment and stakeholder engagement to deliver practical solutions in complex global contexts.
Biography
Catherine advises clients on human rights due diligence, policy development and benchmarking, as well as conducting human rights impact assessments with a focus on agricultural supply chains. She has particular expertise in designing strategies to mitigate and remediate child labour risks, and in facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagement, including direct engagement with rightsholders in-country. Catherine has delivered projects across a range of emerging and developing economies, with deep experience in Latin America, particularly Brazil.
Catherine joined LRQA when Ergon Associates became part of the business. In previous roles, Catherine worked on due diligence and risk consultancy, advising financial sector clients on reputational and regulatory challenges globally, with a focus on Latin America and Lusophone Africa.
Catherine holds a BA in International Development and Portuguese and an MAR (Master of Arts by Research), both from the University of Leeds, where her research focused on land rights issues. She speaks Portuguese and Spanish in addition to English.
