He has spent two decades advising public institutions with a development mandate, including development finance institutions, multilateral organisations, multi-stakeholder initiatives and development agencies. Alastair is an expert on jobs and development – from wages in low-income economies to employment-intensive investment – as well as gender in the workplace, rights in informal economies, living wages and responsible restructuring.
An experienced trainer and facilitator, Alastair works at the intersection of policy, strategy and implementation, supporting organisations to strengthen systems, understand social impact dynamics and deliver meaningful change.
