IFS achieves the latest GFSI benchmarking requirements.

International Featured Standards (IFS) has successfully achieved recognition against GFSI’s Benchmarking Requirements Version 2020.1, encompassing IFS Food v7, IFS Broker v3.1, IFS Logistics v2.3 and IFS PACsecure v2.

The benchmarking process is designed to ensure consistent and high standards across Certification Program Owners such as IFS, with GFSI recognition only awarded when it has been independently verified that every single requirement has been met, both in term of procedures and operations.

Commenting on the achievement, Stephan Tromp, Managing Director of IFS said:

“The GFSI benchmarking process gives us valuable indications to further improve our Standards. It has been a very constructive process and we thank everyone who has contributed to it. The robust standard management, our integrity programme, and the requirements that IFS Auditors must fulfil contribute to the fact that all over the world, retailers, brand owners, authorities and other stakeholders know that they can trust IFS Certificates.”

LRQA is a market-leading provider of IFS Food assessment, with a range of global food manufacturer clients. The IFS Food Standards aims to ensure comparability and transparency for the consumer throughout the entire supply chain, enabling manufacturers to prove that products are both safe and meet retailer specifications.
