Biography
Katharine is the global head of sustainability for LRQA's Marine & Offshore business with more than 17 years’ experience in the shipping industry, ranging from environmental operations management, development and implementation of environmental and sustainability strategies and change programmes, and advocacy on environmental policies. She is an established thought leader in climate change, environment and sustainability providing advice and insight to maritime stakeholders including regulators, ship-owners and trade associations.
Katharine is currently an elected Trustee on the Board of the Sustainable Shipping Initiative and co-chair of the IMarEST technical leadership board and represents participates as the LRQA representative in cross industry collaboration and initiatives like the Sustainable Shipping initiative, IMO GloMEEP Global industry Alliance, CPLC maritime workstream and Global maritime forum decarbonisation workstream.
Qualifications
Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Marine Scientist (CMarSCi), Fellow of IMarEST (FIMarEST) and Associate Member of IEMA (AIEMA).
