Overview

Our extensive accreditation experience allows us to offer a wide range of services to help you meet the requirements of the ASME Code.

ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC)

Preparing for the review

If you are new to the ASME Code, we bring you guidance on the procedures required to get ASME Certificates of Authorisation.

After your application, the first step is an extensive review by ASME personnel.

Our Authorised Inspectors and Authorised Inspector Supervisors will help prepare you for the review, which includes any quality systems. We  know what will be examined, so we help prepare and establish your quality assurance programmes, manuals, and quality control systems.

The Quality System and Manual

You will have to demonstrate that you have an established adequate quality control system, including a written quality manual. The quality manual must contain a brief description of the documents and procedures relating to the design, manufacture, inspection and testing of products to ensure compliance with the ASME Code.

Manufacturers in the nuclear field must additionally demonstrate compliance with ASME Quality Assurance (QA) requirements. We have the necessary experience to help establish fully documented quality systems.

The Review

ASME will issue Certificates of Authorisation and Code Symbol Stamps based on the recommendation of a review team. We will be on hand to participate in the review and inspect individual items to the ASME Code.

As your Authorised Inspection Agency, we provide a comprehensive service at every stage to help you secure ASME Code Symbol Stamps and Certificates of Authorisation.

After certification

After gaining your ASME stamp, we'll be there to inspect any Code stamped projects, and we'll continue to provide audit and advisory services to support your renewal reviews.

When you're ready to take on more projects, we're there too. LRQA isn't just an ASME Authorised Inspection Agency - we hold accreditations and authorisations from many regulatory bodies worldwide. Wherever you're looking for the next project, LRQA can help you win it.
