Paul Macintyre

Paul’s career includes 15 years in farm management and processing operations with Mowi (then Marine Harvest) before moving on to auditing within the Scottish Salmon industry, which became the first sector to develop aquaculture quality assurance standards for their industry.

Over the past 30 years, Paul has been involved in developing aquaculture standards and has his presence on technical and advisory committees has assisted Standard Owners in ensuring their standards are credible and auditable.

He now plays a global role within the aquaculture team at LRQA identifying and training new auditors and developing new business.

With responsibility for all aquaculture services at LRQA, Paul has lead auditor status for MSC, ASC, BAP and CLOBALG.A.P. He has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the issues and challenges faced by fish farmers and has spent many years helping them solve problems and improve systems.
