What the climate requirement really means for your business

Our panel will take on three topics:

1. What the standard says and what it doesn’t. There has been a lot of buzz about climate change entering the quality standard – what does ISO 9001:2026 actually require?
2. Why climate is genuinely a quality issue. When a company makes a change for environmental or climate reasons — swapping materials, changing suppliers, reworking how they ship — how does that show up in quality and operations?
3. From requirement to opportunity. What’s the realistic first step?  Is this an all-or-nothing approach, or can organizations start small and what are the real benefits?

The climate requirement in the 2026 standards is small on paper, but it’s an open door. You can document it and move on - or you can use it to look hard at your business, find a small win or two, and turn a compliance line into something your customers and your team actually value.
