In 2004, a not-for-profit organisation called the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) was established to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil products. The RSPO’s mission is to encourage the growth and use of sustainable palm oil by promoting sustainable practices in the production of palm oil, supporting the development of sustainable supply chains and raising awareness among consumers.
