LRQA is pleased to announce the appointment of Howard Hughes as Managing Director, Cybersecurity, effective Monday 2 February 2026.
Howard brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in technology and cybersecurity, having held senior roles with global organisations including Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, DXC Technology and, most recently, Trustwave.
Across his career, he has led large-scale transformational programmes and helped build some of the fastest-growing managed security businesses in the sector.
This appointment supports LRQA’s continued focus on strengthening its cybersecurity capabilities and supporting clients in navigating an increasingly complex digital risk landscape, as organisations face increasing cyber threats, regulatory scrutiny, supply chain risk and growing geopolitical complexity.
In this role, Howard will join LRQA’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and report directly to Ian Spaulding, CEO.
