ISO 45001

Employee well-being: a new approach.

Aligning your systems and processes to the new workplace.

Traditionally, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) management systems have been focused on physical safety rather than health and well-being. The ISO 45001 global OH&S management system standard, together with ISO/FDIS 45003, Guidelines for managing psychosocial risks, allows your organization to systematically address the impact and costs of employee mental ill-health.

In December 2020, LRQA interviewed 5,500 employees from a variety of organizations across 11 countries to understand the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on employee mental well-being.

Four key areas of concern were identified including:

  • Work-life balance
  • Mental well-being
  • General well-being vs physical safety
  • Leadership commitment
