Overview
LRQA can support you with UKAS accredited ISO 14001 certification, gap analysis and assurance services to help you improve your energy efficiencies and reduce your environmental impact.
Gap Analysis
A gap analysis enables you to understand where your environmental management system sits in terms of conformity to ISO 14001:2015 and what remedial action – if any – needs to be taken. During the gap analysis visit, an LRQA assessor will determine your understanding of the ISO 14001 requirements alongside their implications on your EMS, highlighting your organisation’s readiness for assessment. As such, we advise that you familiarise yourself with the ISO 14001:2015 requirements beforehand.
Certification and Assessment
Accredited ISO 14001:2015 certification from LRQA shows your stakeholders that you have implemented your EMS properly, in accordance with the requirements of the standard. As well as offering a more systematic approach to meeting customer and stakeholder requirements, ISO 14001 certification has also helped organisations reduce their energy and water consumption.
ISO 14001 certification has two phases: a system review and planning visit to check your understanding of ISO 14001 requirements, and a second visit to assess the effectiveness of your system in relation to environmental management policy.
Integrated Assessment
Organisations with several management systems across quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, and information security could avoid duplication through a coordinated assessment, saving time and cutting costs.
