LANXESS awards framework agreement to support its global maintenance programme.

The global framework agreement will see Vysus Group (formerly LRQA Energy) deliver equipment integrity consulting services to LANXESS, utilising LRQA's AllAssets software.

Vysus Group (formerly LRQA Energy), the global engineering and technology consultancy, in partnership with its previous parent company LRQA, has secured a global framework agreement with specialty chemicals company LANXESS to drive improvements in maintenance and asset integrity across its global operations assets.

The global framework agreement, which is valid until the end of 2021, will see Vysus Group deliver equipment integrity consulting services to LANXESS, utilising LRQA's AllAssets software in order to support LANXESS mechanical integrity program.

LANXESS aims to further strengthen the integrity of its assets and equipment, thus reducing operating costs and increasing reliability.

LANXESS has been working with Vysus Group since 2008 on reliability and asset integrity including LRQA's AllAssets (formerly Capstone), in the U.S. and Belgium. With the new agreement, the services are expanded to a global basis to support the company's ongoing maintenance programmes.

Andreas Kemnitz, head of Central Maintenance at LANXESS, said: "We support our production plants in establishing and keeping a safe, efficient and reliable operation by applying best-in-class maintenance. By adopting an integrated approach and involving expert insights and state-of-the-art technology, we have been able to identify improvement opportunities as a result of an evidence-based decision process."

Shervin Sadeghi, maintenance and reliability manager at Vysus Group, said: "We are looking forward to strengthening our long-standing relationship with LANXESS as we continue to help the company optimise performance and mitigate risk across its global operations. We have proven through our consulting services and use of LRQA AllAssets that there are hidden improvements waiting to be unlocked. Experience in chemical business shows in some cases, this can halve inspection and maintenance costs and increase asset uptime by as much as 20%."

Tim Bisley, managing director, Digital Products, LRQA said: "When a company like LANXESS trusts your technology to support the mechanical integrity programme in their facilities, it validates all the work that we have put into providing our customers with a modern application that adds significant value to their operations and improves efficiency."
