LRQA presents vision for the future of food audits in a digital world at IT Food Summit

LRQA was invited to speak at the IT Food Summit, which took place in Birmingham yesterday, attracting key stakeholders from the food and beverage industry together with IT companies and regulatory bodies.

Vincent Doumeizel, LRQA’s Vice President Food and Beverage gave a presentation on the future of food audits in a digital world focusing on the challenges facing the food supply chain including food fraud, emerging pathogens and growing consumer expectations, and how digitalisation can support the supply chain – from individual farmers through to global food brands.

Following Lloyd’s Register’s recent announcement on the adoption of greenfence Platform Technology, Doumeizel commented; “Evolving consumer demands, environmental issues and new technology are having a big impact on the food industry and LRQA is looking at innovative ways to deliver assurance services and accredited certification that support the food supply chain to deliver safe and sustainable food to the world.”
