The Occupational, Health and Safety Management System Certification by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA)
TECOM Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of antennas and antenna systems, announced today that it has been certified to OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational, Health and Safety Management System standard. This certification was delivered by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) and is valid for 3 years.
This new certification validates TECOM’s commitment to achieving excellence in environment, health and safety performance and demonstrates the leadership to create an injury-free and environmentally responsible workplace.
“Since August 2009, our employee count has increased by over 40%”, stated Arsen Melconian, TECOM's president. “We were committed to developing a formal process to identify potential safety hazards in our manufacturing plant and proactively fix them. The OHSAS 18001 accreditation process allowed us to do so. We are pleased with the resultant improvement in our facility and the safe environment we are providing for our employees”.
TECOM also holds certification to ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System, ISO 9001:2008 and AS 9100 Rev. B Quality Management Systems.
