LRQA attends China Ports Future 2008

LRQA Asia expert of Security Management Systems attends 'China Ports Future 2008' event, in Shanghai.

Peter Boyce, Senior Business Manager of Security Management Systems of LRQA Asia, participated at the event 'China Ports Future 2008' which took place on 19th-21st March, 2008 in Shanghai Jin Jiang Hotel.

Over 280 delegates came from over 30 countries including: U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Estonia, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, China, HK SAR, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Cambodia, Bangladesh, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, India, Brazil, Fiji and Sri Lanka. At his event delegates deeply explored the China Ports market, shared experiences, built up multinational business relationships and approached diversified investment mode.

As a speaker invited by the event, Peter introduced the new Supply Chain Security Management System standard, ISO 2800,  during his 60 minutes speech and answered questions asked by the delegates.

"The Ports Future 2008 established a good information exchange platform for port groups and enhance port development in China ports." said Wang Ming, Deputy Director of Integrated Transport Department, China NDRC.
